The Mission


of the Talbot County Early Head Start is to provide services to pregnant women and children 0–3 years of age, to become self-sufficient members of their community by providing education, resources, and opportunities that nurture children, empower parents, and strengthen families.

Talbot County Early Head Start

(TCEHS) serves pregnant women, children from birth to age three and their families. The program is designed to help children and their parents learn and grow by providing a wide range of educational and supportive programs.

Graduaation

TCEHS provides information for parents to be their child’s first teacher and promotes school readiness. TCEHS services are family-centered in a safe, nurturing and enriching environment and are provided free of charge.

Supporting Organizations

Talbot County Early Head Start is affiliated with Friends of the Family, Inc., a non-profit organization that
provides funding and professional support for Maryland’s Family Support Centers.
It is also a grantee of federal Early Head Start funds for several programs in the state of Maryland.
Talbot County Early Head Start was established by the Talbot County Health Department.
